DOROTHY E. HEIDE
Dorothy E. Heide, 91, of Gainesville, MO passed away on June 5, 2011 in Springfield, MO. She was born on February 19, 1920 in Hollow, OK, the daughter of Arthur A. and E. Belle (Dwyer) Whitcomb.
She received her education in Nebraska and Oregon. After teaching school one year, she married Orville S. Heide in Kelso, Washington on September 16, 1940. Two children were born to this union, Sylvia Leigh and Gareth Lynn. On May 12, 1990 Orville went home to be with the Lord – four months and four days short of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one granddaughter Cara Marie Heide. She is survived by two children and their spouses Sylvia Kallinen and husband Eino of Mountain Home, AR, and Gareth Heide and wife Betty of Springfield, MO; three granddaughters; two step-grandsons; and many great grandchildren and step grandchildren; and two sisters.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, MO with Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will be in the Mammoth Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Children's Ministry of Mammoth Assembly of God Church and can be left at the funeral home.
