Dorothy Fay Maloney, 93 years, passed to heaven on July 31, 2014 at James River Care Center, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born August 3, 1920 in Ava, MO to Hubert and Lillian (McCrite) Klineline.
Dorothy was a resident of Springfield since 1993 moving from Ava, MO. On December 24, 1935 Dorothy and Clinton Kelly Maloney were united in marriage in Ava, MO. They were blessed to be together and celebrate 78 years.
In her years in Ava she worked at the Ava Hardware and also worked as a dental assistant. Dorothy was a Christian and a member of the Campbell Avenue Methodist Church in Springfield. She adored Clinton and supported him in all his endeavors and community involvments. Dorothy loved being with her family and especially her grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Clinton on Feb. 8, 2014, her parents, two brothers, Pete and Red Klineline, son-in-laws, Tex Christopher and Bill McGehee and a great grandson, Christopher Hayter.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Frances Harmon and her husband Wes, and Judy McGehee all of Springfield, MO, four grandchildren, Cathi Christopher, Teri Sickmyre (Clif), Kelly McGehee Kirkpatrick and Mark McGehee (Holly), five great grandchildren, Austin (Christina), Katie, Krystal, Renon and Benjamin and one great great granddaughter, Kali, three sisters, Virginia Kester, Mildred Robertson and Irene O'Harra. Sister-in-laws, Pauline Klineline, Virginia Klineline, and Lorene Maloney. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be Sat., August 2, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Terry Kendrick.
