Dorothy Mae (Gibson) Turner, 76, of Gainesville, MO, passed away on November 22, 2017, at her home.
Dorothy was born on July 24, 1941, at Webb City, MO, to James I. Gibson and Viola M. (Williams) Gibson. She has been a long-time resident of Ozark County and has lived the last twenty years in Gainesville, MO.
After Dorothy retired from working at Copeland Corporation, she remained active throughout her remaining years with working part-time and sewing. She will always be remembered as being a devoted mother and grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her children Donald Turner and wife Vickie, Thornfield, MO; Arthur Turner, Jr., Gainesville, MO, and Catherine McKinzie and husband John, West Plains, MO; her siblings Charles LeRoy Seeber, Humansville, MO; Gary Wayne Seeber, Troy, MO; Ronald Dean Seeber, Iola, KS; and Teresa Raygoza, Brentwood, CA; her grandchildren Jeremy Turner, Terina Kelley, Dustin Turner, Nathan Turner, Kalyn Hannaford, Katie Turner, Jamie Hale, Christopher McKinzie, Allan McKinzie, Emily McKinzie, and Erin McKinzie; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Gibson and Viola Seeber, step-father Calvin Seeber, Sr., and brother Calvin Seeber, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon to service time at the funeral home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to: American Cancer Society or the Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
