DOYLE A. GARFIT
Doyle A. Garfit, 90, Isabella, MO, passed away on December 31, 2009 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born on November 28, 1919 in Luna, MO the son of Mose and Minne (Luna) Garfit.
On November 17, 1958 Doyle was united in marriage to Betty Lou Friend in Gainesville, MO. He worked for many years as a meat cutter and retired in 1979. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, gardening, and bee hunting. He also loved time with the grandkids. Doyle was a Christian and a member of the Gainesville Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Lou Garfit, of the home in Isabella, MO; one daughter Shirley Garrison and her husband Ronnie of Isabella, MO; two grandsons Shawn Garrison and his wife Jenni of Isabella, MO and Heath Garrison of Branson, MO; two great grandsons Ryan and Tyler Garrison of Isabella, MO.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents Mose and Minne Garfit, six brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Mike Dillin officiating. Interment will be in the Isabella Cemetery, Isabella, MO. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
