Duane W. O'Doniel, age 82, passed away at his home in Udall, MO on August 17, 2024. He was born December 11, 1941 in Council Bluffs, IA to the late William and Mabel (Christiansen) O'Doniel.

Duane graduated from Underwood Community High School, Underwood, IA with the class of 1960. He married Eva Hoden on June 30, 2002. Duane loved fishing. He also spent many hours in his woodworking shop and on his tractor working on his property. He loved traveling with his wife Eva and visiting many of the U.S. parks.

Duane was preceded in death by his sister Delores Howard. He is survived by his wife Eva; and his children, Robert (Robyn) O'Doniel, Jaye (Jeff) Sims, step-daughter Tami Hoden, step son-in-law Eric Smith; his sisters, Norma Fricke, Ruby Strong; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No local services are planned. Duane's wish was to be cremated and his ashes buried at the Fisher Cemetery in Underwood, IA. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
