EDNA ROSE SCHIEFELBEIN

Edna Rose Schiefelbein was born July 3, 1919 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Daniel Joseph and Lillian (Blumenthal) Morgan. She passed away September 21, 2014 at Gainesville Healthcare Center, Gainesville, MO. She was married to George Schiefelbein on October 17, 1980. They were married for 11 years until his death in 1991. They lived for a short time in St. Louis before moving to Pontiac, MO.

At the age of 61 after being single her entire life she married George. The next year after working 40 years for Brown Shoe Company, she retired and bought her first home in Pontiac. She had always rented in the city and had never driven a car in the country until then.

She is survived by her nieces, Joann Burnham and husband Tom, Judy Henkel and husband Bill, Joyce Morgan, nephew Tim Morgan and wife Johnna. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Joseph Morgan; her sister Dorothy Edelman and nephew Dan Morgan.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Price Place Cemetery near Pontiac, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. An open visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to Noon in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Price Place Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
