EDWARD LEE POTTS
Edward Lee Potts, 78, of Caulfield, MO passed to heaven on May 25, 2012 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. He was born on October 9, 1933 in Modesto, CA, the son of Albert and Beatrice (Pedan) Potts.
Edward graduated from Woodland High School, Woodland, CA in June, 1951. He graduated from Sacramento Jr. College in June 1953 with an Associate of Arts degree, and later graduated Chapman University in Orange, CA in January 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He worked over thirty-six years in the title insurance industry and was the Chief Title Officer for a major title insurance company in Northern and Southern California, as well as serving as Vice President of Woodland Title Guaranty Company, Yolo, CA and Transamerica Title Insurance Company, Sacramento, CA.
On December 24, 1995, Edward was united in marriage to Frankie Leonard in Nevada City, CA. Soon after, the couple moved to the Ozarks and made Caulfield, MO their home. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, flying and boating, and horses. Edward was a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Bakersfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Beatrice Potts. He is survived by his wife, Frankie of the home in Caulfield, MO; his children, Jennifer, Laura, Troy, Corey, Jessica and Kiara; his grandchildren, Wolfgang, Jessica, Ian, Ayriel, Jerika and Alyssa; and one great grandson, Nathan; two sisters, Fern Leonard of Caulfield, MO and Kay Morelock of California.
A private service is planned for a later date. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
