Edward Uhlman, 89 years, passed away on March 2, 2010 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Edward was born May 25, 1920 in Drury, MO to Walter and Ella (Hurst) Uhlmann.

On April 12, 1947, Edward and Agnes L. Heath were united in marriage at Drury, MO near Buckhart at the home of Zim Sims and celebrated 62 years together. He was a veteran and served during WWII with the U.S.Army. Edward, with his wife was owner and operator of the Uhlman's Store for many years most enjoying the many friends and neighbors he visited with. Edward was also a farmer and a member of the Gentryville Church of God. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and playing checkers.

Edward is survived by his wife, Agnes L. Uhlman, Ava, MO, two children Robert Uhlman, and Linda Uhlman, Seymour, MO, one brother, Paul Uhlman, Drury, MO, two sisters and their spouses, Shirley & Harley Hancock, Ava, MO and Phyllis & Dwayne Sparks, Dora, MO, twograndsons, Michael and David, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Edward will be, Friday, March 5, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO, with burial in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. T.J. Stout and Rev. Gary Moore. Memorials may be made to Gideon's.
