Eeva Mae McSwain
Pocahontas, AR
Eeva McSwain, 93, of Pocahontas, AR went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Randolph Nursing Home in Pocahontas, AR.
She was born January 21, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alvis, and the sister of the late Mary Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth McSwain, on March 11, 2006.
She leaves to mourn in passing, her two daughters, Jean Madden of Little Rock, AR, and Jan Tretenburg of Pocahontas, AR; Her brother, Glenn Alvis; five grandchildren, Ramona Coulthurst, Andrea Mathews, Jason Stamper, Camellia Walker and Shane Brawner; and six great-grandchildren Emily and Caleb Stamper, Brandi Mathews, Aidan Brawner, Abigayle and Banyan Walker.
Eeva enjoyed reading the Bible, attending Bible studies, playing Scrabble, growing strawberries, and spending time with her family and church friends. She attended Church of God Universal in Hagerstown, MD and House of Mercy Tabernacle in Pocahontas, AR. Her unconditional love and kindness will be remembered.
Funeral services will be held Thurs., November 17, 2011, 2:00 pm at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri. The viewing begins at 1 pm, with the service to follow at 2 pm. Officiating is Rev. Robert Roberts. Burial will follow in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO.
