ELDA "ARLENE" CLAYTON

Arlene Clayton passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at her residence. She was 61 years old. She was born October 22, 1946 in Longrun, Missouri the daughter of Jesse and Beulah Silvey. She and Hervil Clayton were married October 31, 1964.

Arlene loved being with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of the farm and tending to her many flowerbeds. She found delight in watching Kyle and Liza (her dog) play on the porch while she drank her coffee. Arlene loved to bake all kinds of desserts with Cally and taking their "shopping ritual" every Saturday. She looked forward to going to work everyday at Theodosia Marina & Resort. There, she was treated like family.

Mrs. Clayton is survived by her son Darrin Clayton, and special friend Celia Boatner; two grandchildren Cally and Kyle Clayton; sister Freeda Garrison; and special cousins Rayford and Linda Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Beulah Silvey; husband Hervil "Dee" Clayton, son Dennie Clayton; and brother Dale Silvey.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 2:00 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville with Doyle Turner officiating. Interment will be in Smith Graham Cemetery, Longrun, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 til 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Services will be under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
