ELIGA FRIEND JR
Eliga Friend Jr., 73, Isabella, MO passed away on December 12, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on January 6, 1936 in Lutie, MO son of Eliga Sr. and Odessa (Osborn) Friend.
On June 29, 1953 he was united in marriage to Helen Myrene Harring in Kansas City, MO and to this union five children were born. Eliga retired from the railroad, but his most rewarding job was that of Dad. He was a super good Dad to his children, he loved his family and he loved the Lord. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him. He will also be missed by his faithful companions, his three little dogs.
Eliga is survived by his wife Myrene of the home in Isabella, MO; three sons Michael Friend and his wife Kathy of Isabella, MO, Steven Friend and wife Rhonda of Rogersville, MO, Eric Friend of Isabella, MO; two daughters Debbie Mahan of Rogersville, MO, Rhonda Plumb and her husband Jim of Springfield, MO; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two sisters Nellie Chisam and Barbara Huett.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eliga Sr. and Odessa Friend; and seven brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the Lutie Cemetery, Theodosia, MO with Brother Jim Maddox officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
