Elisabeth "Betty" Baechtold

Elisabeth "Betty" Baechtold passed away June 20, 2013, at the Heart of the Ozarks Health Care Center, Ava, MO at the age of 97.

Betty was born in Brooklyn, New York & grew up in Glendale, New York where she met and married Elmer "Chick" Baechtold on August 5, 1939. Betty and Chick were living in Bogota, Columbia when they met Jehovah's Witnesses and studied with missionaries of the "Good News". Betty and Chick shared sixty-four years of marriage along with their shared service to Jehovah before Chick died in 2004.

Betty had dedicated her life in service to Jehovah on July 29th, 1970, and faithfully endured to the end.

She is survived by her children, Linda Weldon and her husband, Chris, and their son, Christopher, of Oklahoma City, OK; her son, Ken Baechtold and his wife, Lisa, of Kansas City, KS; Ken's children: Eric Baechtold and a great granddaughter, Morgan; and Laura Bramwell, her husband, Chuck, and great grandchildren, Brooke & Matthew;
Betty's sister, Hatty Theuer of Ambler, PA. and her three children, Henry, Larry, and Janie, their spouses and children. Many cousins & their families live throughout the U.S. There are also many friends and acquaintances throughout the country and the local congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses who will miss her.



A Memorial for Betty will be June 30, 2013 3:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses
