ELIZABETH ROGERS

Elizabeth Rogers, 94, of Gainesville, MO passed to heaven on March 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born on July 11, 1918 in Harrison, AR the oldest of three daughters of Doy and Ilah (Crandall) Clark.

Elizabeth graduated from high school in Harrison, completed a business course, and was employed as a secretary. She married Ozark County resident Clyde Rogers on September 16, 1939 and the couple lived in Harrison until he joined the Navy during World War II. After the war, the Rogers came back to the Ozarks and settled in Gainesville, MO so that Clyde could join his late father's law practice. Elizabeth worked alongside her husband as his legal secretary. She has been a resident of Gainesville ever since. She was a charter member of the Gainesville PEO sisterhood, a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Christian Church of Gainesville. She was a very loving and caring person with warm smile and quick wit. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents Doy and Ilah Clark; her husband Judge Clyde Rogers; her sisters Dorothy Little of Denton, TX and Rosemary Richisen of Little Rock, AR. She is survived by caregivers- nephew and niece Chuck and Ginger Eberling; nephews Lowell and Paul Little, Mike Richisen; and niece Lynn Briggs.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Gainesville First Christian Church with Bobby Jo Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Sims Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10 a.m. to service time at the church. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Gainesville PEO.
