Ella Marie King

Ava, Missouri

Ella Marie King, 77 years, 1 month, 7 days old, passed away on February 26, 2018 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO with her children and grandchildren by her side.

Marie was born January 19, 1941 in Brushyknob, MO to Alva and Edith (Kunze) Ritter.

Marie was retired from working at Spaldings in Ava, MO and was also a Cook at the Highway House and Hutch's Café in Ava.

On March 28, 1961 Marie and Ralph Frank King were united in marriage at Black Oak Flat in Ava, MO and were blessed with three children, Jeanetta, Chuck, and Terrie.

Marie was a Christian and a member of Star Chapel Church.

She enjoyed quilting, baking, Red Hatter's Society, and most of all taking care of or being with her grandchildren and family!

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph King in 1989. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Jeanetta & Allen Bahnmiller, Seymour, MO, Chuck & Elaine King, Granby, MO, and Terrie & Terry Welch, Ava, MO, ten grandchildren,  18 great grandchildren with one on the way, six siblings, Monroe Ritter, Liberty, MO, Linda Prock, Wasola, MO, Stella Upshaw, Ava, Charles Ritter, Ava, Hugh Ritter, Atlas, AR, and J.C. Ritter, Lancaster, PA, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Marie will be Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Dobbs Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to service on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Vinson. Memorials may be made to Dobbs Cemetery.
