Ella Mae Wilson, daughter of Sam Kenner and Ora Gladys (Albright) Kenner was born July 22, 1930 in Roy, Missouri and departed this life on December 21, 2006 in Ava, MO at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 29 days. Ella was a life long resident of the Ava area.
Ella Mae and Herbert F. Wilson were united in marriage Sept. 15, 1947 in Harrison Arkansas. Ella and Herbert were blessed with five children. Ella Mae was a Christian and was raised in the Baptist faith. She always attended church. She worked at Hagales Factory in Forsyth for several years.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Joan Self, her husband, Herbert in 1984 and a son, Gerald Wilson. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Hampton, Ava, MO, Norma Calhoon, Chilhowee, MO, Sandra Hampton, Springfield, MO and Darlene Hayhurst, Glendale, AZ, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Rev. Gene Alphin and Rev. James Hathcock officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Family requests memorials to Community Hospice of Mtn. Grove in care of the funeral home. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
