EllaJean Chloe Watson, of Wasola, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the age of 85 at her home. She was born on July 23, 1925 to Glen and Flo (Pitcock) Hawkins in Gainesville, MO.
She was a member of the Barren Fork Church of Christ.
She and Calvin Watson were married in West Plains, MO on February 10, 1952. She worked for a time with the ASCS office in Gainesville, but spent most of her life working side by side with Calvin on their cattle farm.
She is survived by her husband Calvin; one daughter, Marsha Evans and husband Keith of Wasola, MO; one granddaughter, Tara McConnaughy and great granddaughter Jayden of Springfield, MO; one grandson Travis McConnaughy and fiancé Sarah Silverman of Wasola, MO; her twin brother Agene Hawkins of Gainesville, MO and older brother Adron Hawkins of Gainesville, MO; and two step grandsons, James Evans of Gainesville, MO and Dusty Evans of West Plains, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Flo Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with E.J. Hampton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Chapel Cemetery or to the Ozark County Relay for Life and can be left at the funeral home.
