ELMER DEE "JOE" ANDERON II

Elmer Dee Anderson II "Joe", passed away June 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born December 11, 1942 to Capt. Elmer "Andy" Anderson, USN and MaryEva (Olds) Anderson.

Joe retired in 2009 from Arcelor Mittal Steel as an engineer and made his home on a farm near Gainesville, MO. As a Jehovah's Witness, Joe was welcomed in the Gainesville congregation. He enjoyed discussing his Bible based hope with his friends and neighbors. One of his favorite things to do was sit on his front porch and listen to the sounds of his country home. He will be missed and forever loved.

He is survived by his wife Tina R. Anderson of Gainesville; daughters Wendy Anderson-Lopez and husband Lawrence of Albuquerque, NM, Christie Anderson and fiance' Steve Smith of Austin, TX, Cora Anderson of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren; nephew Dan Mangan of Boulder, CO; niece Lieut. Commander Kathryn Mangan Maher, MD, USN and husband Patrick of Gig Harbor, WA; and two grand nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Capt. Elmer "Andy" Anderson, USN and MaryEva Anderson; and one sister Charlotte Mangan.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9 Kingdom Way, west of Gainesville on U.S. Hwy 160. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
