Elsie Jane Huff

Elsie Jane Huff, 97 years, passed to heaven on July 27, 2011 at her home in Ava with her family by her side.

Elsie was born May 21, 1914 in Smallett, MO to John and Sarah (Fulton) Sellers.

Elsie was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. On October 14, 1931 Elsie and Lewis Huff were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union three daughters were born. She was a Christian and attended the Springcreek Baptist Church when she and Lewis lived on the farm. When she could, Elsie loved cooking for family gatherings and going to garage sales. She loved her family.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis in 2005,oldest daughter, Vada Graham, four sisters, two brothers, and two great grandchildren.

Elsie is survived by two daughters,Lucille Jenkins & husband Tony, Ava, MO and Sue Bacorn, Springfield, MO, six grandchildren, Larry Graham & wife, Elaine, Donna Atchison and husband, Gary, Toni McGill & husband, David, Keith Jenkins & wife, Sheila all of Ava, and Paige Kessler and Stacey Bacorn, Springfield, MO, 11 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Elsie will be Friday, July 29, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Johnson and Rev. Freeda Holt. Memorials may be made to Spring Creek Cemetery.
