Penny Suter, 76, of Springfield, MO passed to heaven on July 10, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born February 17, 1935 in Belmont, LA to John and Ollie (Walden) Hicks.
Penny and Waford "Mack" Suter were united in marriage on October 16, 1970 in Houston, TX. To this union one son, Jacob, was born. Penny retired from Walmart after many years working as a cashier. She loved camping, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She also loved animals. Penny was a Christian. She was baptized nearly 40 years ago.
Penny was preceded in death by parents John and Ollie (Walden) Hicks; one brother Benny Hicks; and one grandson Coby Suter. She is survived by husband Waford "Mack" Suter, Springfield, MO; one son Jacob Suter; five granddaghters Katlyn, Jaiden, Mackenzie, Mikah and Britton Suter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Penny will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Udall Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 5-7 pm in the funeral home. On line condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
