Elvis Spencer Barrett

Elvis Spencer Barrett, 86 years and 7 months old, passed away on, August 12, 2020 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center.

Elvis was born January 12, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Claudius Spencer and Winnie Viola (Foiles) Barrett.

Elvis was a school teacher for many years.  He taught in Kansas City, Mtn. Grove and spent most of his years teaching at Gainesville High School.  He loved teaching.

Elvis enjoyed canoeing, biking, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Elvis was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lee Barrett, his parents, three sisters, Gwendolyn Sproat, Claudine Cox, and Alta Bestler, and one brother, Patrick Barrett.

Elvis is survived by two sons and their wives, Jeff and Christy Barrett and Pat and Shannon Barrett, two grandsons, Alex (Molly) and Jake (Riku), and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association in Stanley, Idaho. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Gainesville, MO.
