Elwood Williams, 68 years passed to heaven on November 3, 2011 at his home in Ava, MO.
Elwood was born March 20, 1943 in Douglas County, MO to Lloyd and Bertha (Stillings) Williams.
Elwood was employed by Fasco as a Die caster for several years. He liked playing bingo and traveling to casinos, hunting, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an Army Veteran, and served during the Korean War. Elwood was gifted musically and enjoyed writing songs, singing, and recording music.
He was a Christian and attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Ava.
Elwood was preceded by his parents, Lloyd and Bertha Williams, one sister, Marie Lett, and two brothers, Donald Williams and Denzil Williams.
Elwood is survived by one sister & her husband, Wilma & Lee Hampton, Ozark, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Elwood will be Tuesday, November 8, at 10:00 A.M. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Stillings Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Lafferty. Memorials may be made to the family as love offerings.
