A memorial service for Eric Wayne Ray, 37, of Gainesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, beginning with a vehicle procession from his home to Pontiac. A ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. tentatively at Just Jackie's in Pontiac with Burle Norton officiating. Call Bill Davis at 679-4856 for more information.
Mr. Ray died Sept. 16, 2009. He was born Nov. 4, 1971, and was adopted five days later by Donald and Alma Ray in Tucson, Ariz.
He formerly worked at Giles and Kendall, Ingram Barge on the Mississippi River and Rockbridge Rainbow Trout Ranch. He also worked as a cook for two restaurants. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and loved to cook. He was known for his lust for life and his wealth of knowledge about outdoor life and gardening.
Mr. Ray is survived by his father, Don Ray of Gainesville; two sisters, Kim Chan La and Kay Suchada; and one brother, Aaron Suna.
Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
