ERMA COOPER
Erma Fay (Friend) Cooper passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at Heart of the Ozarks Health Care Center in Ava, Missouri. She was 90 years old.Erma was born in Thornfield, Missouri on March 15, 1917 the daughter of Harrison and Maude Friend. She married Loyd Cooper on January 2, 1932 at Hammond, Missouri. To this union five girls and two boys were born. On February 13, 1949 Erma was baptised at Hammond, Missouri. She attended church at Hilltop until her health wouldn't allow her to go. She loved to make quilts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children: Pauline Adkisson and husband Tom of Springfield, Missouri, Norma Steele of Kansas City, Kansas, Imogene Pierce and husband Gene of Lebanon, Missouri, Sue Murphy and husband Dwain of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Darrell Cooper and wife Barbara of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Harold Cooper and wife Pam of Thornfield, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers and 8 sisters. Erma was preceded in death by her husband Loyd, one daughter Mona Foster, one grandson Mark Stephen Foster, two son-in-laws, her parents, 3 brothers, and 6 sisters.
Funeral services for Erma Cooper will be Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Thornfield Chapel with Stan Collins officiating. Burial to follow in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 2 to 4 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville.
