Esther Eileen Carroll, 58 years, 2 months, and 1 day old, passed to heaven on June 5, 2011 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.
Esther was born April 4, 1953 in Herlong, CA. to Barney and June
(O' Canavan) Burnett.
During her early years in CA. Esther was an EMT and a volunteer fire fighter with her job being the pumper truck driver. Esther also loved making clothing for Sonny, making him special shirts. Esther was a passionate cook, looking always to improve her skill. She and Sonny shared a special adventure managing the Saltery Lake Lodge in Kodiak Island, AK for three years, sharing her cooking with many anglers from around the world and with an occasional brown kodiak bear. She was always looking to help others.
Esther and Sonny were united in marriage in 1988 in Reno, Nevada.
Esther was preceded by her parents, a brother Barney Dean Burnett and a sister Marilyn Lowery.
Esther is survived by her husband, Sonny Carroll of Ava, MO, a sister Rosemary and Earnest Bruffett of California, and a brother Terence Burnett of Wyoming.
Graveside Funeral services for Esther will be Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Brushyknob Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Sliger. Memorials may be made to the Brushyknob Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
