Esther L. Mears, 86 years, passed away on October 6, 2009 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.
Esther was born April 24, 1923 in Douglas County, MO to Clarence and Fannie (Haynes) Elliott.
Esther was a Housewife and Homemaker. In 1938 Esther and Ray Mears were united in marriage in Douglas County and to this union four children were born. Ray preceded in death in 1964. Esther was a Christian and had attended the Evansdale Church. Esther enjoyed fishing, outdoor cooking and family get togethers.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Mears, two sons, Ronnie and Doyle Mears, and seven brothers and sisters.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Ladonna McKinney, Dora, MO and Carol Mears, Axvasse, MO, several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Esther will be Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Cold Springs Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Tom Hawkins. Memorials may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor, Ava, MO.
