Evalyn Mae Franks, 84, of Wichita, KS passed away July 26, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1937 in Ozark County, MO to Ruby O. and Verna (Prock) Gardner.

Evalyn grew up in Gainesville and attended Gainesville High School. She moved to Wichita, KS, where she lived most of her life. She began a career in nursing and worked as an LPN for many years. She was a member of the church of Christ in Wichita. She kept busy with her work, but her one "hobby" was Elvis Presley. She adored him, and anything Elvis related. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters Lana (Allen) Meadows and husband Larry of Tecumseh, MO, Brenda Jacobs and husband Scott of Wichita, KS; one sister Elma Collins of Gainesville, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents R.O. and Verna Gardner; two brothers Eugene Gardner and Neal Gardner; and one sister Flo E. Gardner-Williamson.

A graveside funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 in the Souder Cemetery, Souder, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
