Evert Lee Jones, 78 years, 8 months, 20 days old, passed away December 29, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Evert was born April 9, 1939 to William and Virginia (Thomas) Jones in Greene county, Missouri.

Evert and Gertrude (Sue) Andrews were united in marriage on June 13, 1992 in Springfield, Missouri.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, working on cars and wood working.

Evert was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Kurtis Hicks and one brother, George.

Evert is survived by his wife, Gertrude, seven daughters, Carol, Brenda, Nylene, Terry, Sheila, Donna and Pam, three sons, Billy, Kelly and Chris, many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many siblings and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.  Memorials can be made to the family as a love offering.  Cremation services for Evert are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo.
