Fent Sukow passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born December 3, 1926 in Pottersville, Missouri, the son of August "Polk" Sukow and Pearl (Davis) Sukow. He married Blanch Sukow of Sycamore, Missouri on April 1, 1950.
Having lived in the Kansas City area, the family returned to West Plains, Missouri and finally in Springfield, Missouri in the 1980's. Fent had a home building business in West Plains, Missouri. Fent enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. He and Blanch spent many winters in the sun in Florida and South Texas walking on the beaches and adding to their sea shell collection.
Fent is survived by his son Bruce Sukow and wife Ginger of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two granddaughters; Jill Bodenhamer of Rolla, Missouri, and Ashley Ford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three great grandchildren and his brother Tim Sukow and wife Joan of Carmel, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Blanch of 65 years, his parents, August "Polk" Sukow and Pearl (Davis) Sukow, and his brother, Doff Sukow of La Vernia, Texas.
Funeral Services for Mr. Sukow will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Smith Chapel Church with Pastor Larry Cockman officiating. Visitation with family will be at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville on Friday, March 27, 2015 with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
