Frank William Aid

Ava, Missouri

Frank William Aid, 93 years and 24 days old, passed away on May 21, 2024, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, MO with his family by his side.

Frank was born April 28, 1931, in Tigris, MO, in Douglas County, to James Dewey and Katherine Clementine "Katie" (West) Aid.

He was raised in the Douglas County community. At a young age Frank wanted to work and did so working in Illinois with Del Monte.

On December 13, 1950, Frank and Frances Mae Haynes were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and were blessed with 70 years together and five children.

Frank was a farmer and loved working on his farm with Frances. In their early marriage, they went to Washington to work in the lumber industry with his West uncles of Seymour, MO. Returning to Douglas County, they bought the Springdale Farm from his childhood friend, J.G. Heinlein. Frank would say to his kids, "The family that sawmills together, stays together." Whatever the family was working at,… that was his motto. He absolutely loved hard work. Frank also served as Douglas County Deputy Sheriff.

He was a Christian and was very involved with the Beaver Valley Church.

Frank adored and loved his family and it was mutual. His legacy of his love and work will live on in his family.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances in 2021; two brothers, John D. and Roy D.; his sons-in-laws, Roger Burnett, Don Williams, and Max Roberts; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Lamb.
