Frank Meador, 80 years, 5 months, and 9 days old, passed away on March 14, 2014 at West Plains, Missouri, due to complications to emphysema.
Frank was born October 5, 1933 in Durango, Colorado to Harry and Lois (LaLonde) Meador . Frank was a Korean War Navy Veteran serving on the USS Dixie from 1951-1953.
Frank and Patricia Bell were united in marriage on October 9, 1959.
Frank was a cowboy at heart and team roping was his passion. He never knew a stranger and always had a smile for everybody he met. He and Pat moved from Bayfield, Colorado to Ava in 1977 where they have a farm south of town. He was a truck driver and his last employment was for Lakey & Lakey Hay Sales.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Patric, and a brother, Bobby.
Frank is survived by his wife, Pat, children: Frankie and Tom White, Diana and Randy Talbot, Laurie and Robbie Davis, Charley and Vickie Meador, LeeAnn and Kris Norman, sister: Myrna and Joe Couch; grandchildren: Geoff, Tracy and Amanda White; Rochelle Shahan, Misty Rathjen, Charmaine Talbot; Brian Hill, Nicole Odom, Whitney, Jordin, and Courtrney Davis; Erin Greenfield, Eric Click and Madison Meador; Kelly, Jeff and Klay Norman, Brett Ozment; great-grandchildren: Payton, Kayson, Karsyn, Tyler, Zoe, Rance, Ivor, Trigg, Lauren, Kathryn, Olivia, Landon, Tyson, Lily, Aiden, Greyson, Marli, Mikah, Kiley and Kenna and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Frank will be Saturday, March 22, 1:00 p.m. at the Pine River Cemetery, Bayfield, Colorado. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 18, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava.
