Frederick Scott "Rick" Weiss

Vanzant, Missouri

Frederick Scott Weiss, 56 years, 2 months, 22 days old, passed away on November 25, 2017 at his home.

"Rick" was born September 3, 1961 Frederick Leroy and Edna June (Marler) Weiss in Oroville, California.

Frederick was a U.S. Navy veteran and served his country for approximately eight years. He was working at O'Reilly Automotive in Mtn. Grove, MO. He had previously worked at Millers Electric and Hawkins Western Auto.

On March 7, 1985 "Rick" and Peggy Jean Cunha were united in marriage at South Lake Tahoe, CA. Peggy preceded in death in 2013 and was also preceded by his mother, Edna June.

"Rick" was a member of the Twin Knob Chapel in Mtn. Grove. He enjoyed working and teaching Sunday School at his church.

"Rick" is survived by his family, his church family at Twin Knob Chapel, his neighbors, and fellow workers at O'Reilly Automotive.

Graveside services for "Rick" will be Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Vanzant Cemetery, Vanzant, MO with military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112. Officiating will be Pastor Bud Scherer. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
