Freeman Garrison Jr., 80 years, 10 months, 23 days old, passed away on December 31, 2017 in Cushing, OK.

Freeman was born February 8, 1937 in Ava, MO to Floyd and Sylvia (Archer) Garrison.

Freeman was a  U.S. Army veteran and where he worked in the motor pool and transporation.

Freeman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar, and antiques. He was a kind hearted person, always helpful to others, and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma, two brothers, Howard & Jim Garrison, sisters, Wyonia Scrivner,  and Leonia Carline.

Freeman is survived by five sons, Ronnie, Charley, Freeman Jr., Arthur, and Johnnie B., and a step daughter, Francie, all of Cushing, OK and his grandchildren,  one brother, Jerry Garrison,  Ava, sisters, Helen Miller, Brenda Souza, and Etta Mae McBride, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Freeman will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 at the funeral home. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date and time in the  Arden Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
