Garlin Leroy Johnson, 73 years passed away on April 13, 2009 at Hartville, MO with his family by his side.

Garlin was born March 28, 1936 in Omaha, AR to Carl and Mamie (Stevens) Johnson.

Garlin was a resident of Hartville for a short time, moving from Mansfield, MO. In his earlier years, Garlin had lived and worked in the Kansas City area. He had worked at a saw mill. On October 31, 1959 Garlin and Fay Hicks were united in marriage in Hartville, MO and to this union four children were born.
Garlin enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved being with his family.

Garlin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Fay in 2005, one infant son, one granddaughter, two sisters and one brother.


Garlin is survived by three children, Annette Liles and husband, Roy, Glendora Moore and husband, Kenneth, all of Hartville, MO and Kevin Johnson, Mtn. Grove, MO, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister, Millie Waddell, one brother, John Atkisson both of Liberty, MO, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Garlin will be Thursday, April 16, 2009, 10:00 A.M. at Mountain Valley Cemetery, Mountain Grove, MO. Visitation will be Wed., April 15, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Joel Childers. Memorials may be made to the family as a Love Gift.
