Gary Lee Dye, 60 years, passed away on June 16, 2013 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO after a long illness with cancer.

Gary was born July 15, 1952 in Akron, OH to Francis and Rosie (Moore) Dye.

Gary was a resident of the Ava community since 1986 moving from Lake Elsinore, CA. He was an over the road Truck Driver for several years. He also was a veteran and served his country with the U.S. Marines.

On December 30, 1971 Gary and Terri Lynn Waters were united in marriage in Canoga Park, CA and through this union two children were born.

Gary enjoyed sailing, building model airplanes and drawing cartoon characters. He also loved playing with his grandkids.

Gary was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe & Larry Dye.

Gary is survived by his wife, Terri Dye, Ava, MO, two children and their spouses, Tammy & Kevin Logan, Highland, MI and Jerime & Jackie Dye, Nixa, MO, nine grandchildren; Erika, Jon, Aldon, McKenzie, Brandon, Drake,Britney, Cailey and Kymber, two great grandchildren; Xander, and Lilliana, his parents, Francis and Rosie Dye, Ava, MO, siblings, Sheila & Ron Coffey, Rogersville, MO, Cheryl & Robert Crosin, Castaic, CA, Frank Dye, Grandy, MO, Debbie & Jim Honeycutt, Sagus, CA and James & Rosa Dye, Ava, MO and many other relatives and friends.
