Gary Leo Evans

Squires, MO

Departed his life Friday April 1, 2011 at home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer at the age of 60 years, 6 months, and 27 days.

Gary was born September 5, 1950 in Toledo, Missouri to Audie William Evans and Bonnie Francis (Haskins) Evans.

Gary grew up in the Thornfield area and graduated from Ava High School in 1968.
On June 6, 1987, Gary and Connie Jo Silvey were united in marriage in Seymour, MO.
Gary was a member of American Gelbvieh Association, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his cattle and spending time with his family and friends. He was employed with Cunningham Underground before he became ill.

He was preceded in the death by both parents and one brother Harold Bill Evans.
Gary is survived by his wife Connie Jo (Silvey) Evans of the home, two daughters Alisha Jo Evans of the home, and Kathy Osiel and husband Vince and one grandson Cody Osiel all of Mt. View. Two brothers Darold Robert Evans and wife Ruth Evans of Thornfield and Sammy Dale Evans and wife Glenda of Squires. Plus a host of family and friends.
Gary will be missed by all.

Services for Gary will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial following in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating is Pastor Randy Dalton. Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
