GARY RAYMOND FAULKS
Gary Raymond Faulks, 69, of Dora, MO passed away on August 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born on December 17, 1944 in San Angelo, TX the son of George Washington and Leora Katherine (Wright) Faulks.
As a child, Gary moved to Arizona with his family. He graduated from Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, AZ. On July 17, 1971 Gary was united in marriage to Helen McKinney in Tucson. He joined the United States Army from 1976 to 1979, while enlisted Gary worked as an M.P. and later as crew chief on a helicopter.
After his honorable discharge, Gary came back to Tucson where he worked for many years as a flagstone mason. In 1998 Gary and Helen moved to the Ozarks to be closer to family. They made their home in Dora, MO. Gary enjoyed fishing and gold prospecting. He loved watching baseball and his beloved Arizona Wildcats basketball. He was loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Helen of the home in Dora; four children Jim Keith Faulks of Florence, AZ, Gary Wayne Faulks, Sherry Rae Ross and husband Jason all of Dora, MO and Christina Louise Herr and husband Ben on Tucson, AZ; and eight grandchildren; two sisters Charlie Fay Thigpen and Adelle Lackey & husband Bud all of San Angelo, TX; and one brother Jimmy Don Faulks & wife Leann of Tucson, AZ.
A Memorial service for Gary will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
