GARY LEE HONEYCUTT

Gary Lee Honeycutt, 70, of Wasola, MO went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Gary was born on June 16, 1944 to Stanford and Blanche (Herd) Honeycutt.

He was a graduate of Gainesville High School, class of 1961. Gary was married to the love of his life Mary Hillhouse on June 16, 1965 in Theodosia, MO. Gary started his career working at Frazier Brothers in 1967 and continued there for ten years. From there he went to work for White River Electric until his retirement after thirty years of service.

Gary's passion was telling people about Jesus, praying for all in need, and singing and playing praises to his Lord and King. Gary enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, riding horses, spending time with his family and seeing the manifestation of God's miracles in the hearts and lives of others.

Gary was preceded in death by one son Lyndal Ray; two brothers Dennis Honeycutt and Larry Joe Honeycutt; and his parents Stanford and Blanche Honeycutt.

He is survived by his wife Mary Honeycutt of the home; three sons Michael and Jennifer Honeycutt of Sparta, MO, Stacy Honeycutt and special friend Tammy Heath of Squires, MO, Garrick Honeycutt and special friend Jennifer Reed of Wasola, MO; one daughter Leah Honeycutt of Wasola, MO; six grandchildren Amanda Honeycutt of Ozark, MO, Zane Honeycutt of Protem, MO, Tina Haden of Ava, MO, Cole Havens of Wasola, MO, Rebecca Mackey and Faith Honeycutt of Sparta; three special children in his life Aydronna, Ayden and Alex Evans; and his amazing dog, Oscar; one brother Craig Honeycutt and wife Lois of Isabella, MO; and one sister Lorene Cheek and husband Bob of Springfield, MO.

Funeral services for Gary will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Charles Shockley officiating. Burial will be in the Friend Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, September 2nd from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
