Gary Lee Piper

Gary Lee Piper, 71 years, 4 months, and 29 days old, passed away on, December 25, 2022 at Heart of the Ozarks in Ava, Missouri.

Gary was born July 27, 1951 in Pisgah, Iowa to Oscar Allen and Grace Edith (Nichols) Piper.

Gary was an Army Veteran and served honorably and later was in the Army National Guard for several years.

Gary and Brenda Kroeger were united in marriage on October 5, 1985 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Gary was a Christian.  He would often volunteer at church.

He enjoyed model rail roading.  He would also volunteer at the Humane Society.  He walked thousands of dogs over the years.  He had a great love for dogs.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by wife, Brenda Kroeger-Piper; brother, Roy Piper; three sisters, Marjorie Perry, Betty Piper, and Shirley Reising and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Gary will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with full military honors and burial to follow.  Family requests no flowers.  Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
