Gary Dwain Welch, 66 years, 5 months, 13 days old, passed away on September 1, 2017 at The Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with his family by his side.

Gary was born March 18, 1951 in Wasola, MO to Marvin and Anna Irene (Harris) Welch.

Gary was a retired mechanic of his own business, Gary's Garage in Ava. He was a Christian and attended Girdner Church in his early years. He enjoyed taking care of his tomato plants, working on old cars, and caring for his dogs. Gary's joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family!

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Larry, John Wayne and Ricky Welch, and his girlfriend of many years, Julie Wright.

Gary is survived by his children and their spouses, Angel & Curtis McCoy, Terry & Terrie Welch, Tammy Jones and Betty Ann Espinosa, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two sisters, Brenda Deatherage and Marvan Welch and one brother, David Welch, and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial service for Gary will be Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Girdner Cemetery. Family requests memorials be made to Girdner Cemetery. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
