Gene Louise Black, 81, Wasola, MO, passed away on August 25, 2010 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, AR. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Lakewood, NJ, the daughter of Lee Roy and Sadie (O'Leary) Evans.
Mrs. Black had been a resident of Ozark County for the past seven years, after moving here from Helen, GA to be closer to her daughter-in-law, Christine. She was employed for several years by the U.S. Military as a private contractor doing civil service work. She raised four children and was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents Lee Roy and Sadie Evans; her husband Wallace Black; and one son Eric L. Anderson. She is survived by one son William Hunter "Sonny" Anderson of Live Oak, FL, two daughters Barbara King and Patricia Black both of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter-in-law Christine Anderson of Wasola, MO; and four grandchildren Ion, Sonny III, Brandi, and Lakota.
