Genelle Laverne Gardner

Genelle L Gardner, 87 years, 6 months, and 17 days old, passed away on November 9, 2014 at Davis Healthcare Unit in Wilmington, NC with her family by her side.
Genelle was born April 22, 1927 in Oakland, AR in Marion County to Jefferson and Elizabeth (Lantz) Gilbert.
On December 5, 1945 Genelle and Eukal Gardner were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union one daughter, Beverly was born.
Genelle was a retired merchant with her husband, Eukal of the General Store and also a Postmaster at Almartha, MO in Ozark County.
She was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ.
Genelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eukal in 1998, a brother, "Coke" Gilbert and two sisters, Neva Reynolds and Luna Deatherage.
Genelle is survived by a daughter and husband,Beverly Ann & Hal Price, Wilmington, NC, one grandson, Tyler Price, Wilmington, NC and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Genelle will be Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ava Cemetery with a visitation prior to from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be E.J. Hampton. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society .
