George Eugene Newby, 62 years, passed to Heaven on November 25, 2014 at his home in Mansfield.
Gene was born June 30, 1952 in Salida, Colorado to Donald Robert and Dorothy Etta (Sievers) Newby.
Gene was a painter and carpenter. On July 5, 1975 Gene and Susan Frett were united in marriage in Silt, Colorado and to this union three children were born. Gene enjoyed Hunting, fishing, and camping. He liked restoring old trucks.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald.
Gene is survived by his wife Susan of the home, two sons, Kevin Newby of Mansfield, MO, and James Newby of Mansfield, MO, and a daughter, Lacie Scofield of Ozark, MO, three brothers, Jim Newby of CA, Robert Newby of CO, Gary Newby of NY, one sister Doris Bair of CO, six grandchildren, Cameron Newby, Ian Newby, Arianne Newby, Owen Scofield, Oliver Scofield, Emmett Newby, and other family and friends.
Cremation Services under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
