GEORGIA ANN ROBBINS-EVANS
Funeral services for Georgia Ann Robbins-Evans, 78, of Gainesville, MO will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 30th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Evans died May 25, 2018 at her home. She was born June 20, 1939 in Gainesville, the daughter of George and Ollie Crisp. She graduated from Beauty College in 1963 and purchased the college that she attended in West Plains, MO. She owned and operated the school for 10 years before selling and then opening Marsha Kay Beauty College in Mountain Home, AR in 1973. There she worked until retirement with her daughter, Marsha Kay Snedecor on June 4, 2014. Georgia dedicated 52 years of her life to teaching and helping all of her students. She loved this profession, it was her life. Georgia had a love for life and people. She enjoyed painting, cooking and she especially loved her kids and grandkids. She loved her two dogs, Cheyenne & Ziggy bear and her 5 cats.
She was so proud of all her grandkids, Kyler Robbins, Peanut Robbins, Chelsea Snedecor; and especially her 6 great grandkids, Aubrey, Logan, Blaine, Britton, Korbin and Kylie. They were her pride and joy.
Georgia is also survived by her husband of the home, Michael Ray Evans, who was her true soul mate and partner; one son Kerry Robbins and wife Latricia of Gainesville, MO; one daughter Marsha Kay Snedecor of Brookline Station, MO and James Snedecor; one sister Ovia Marie McGinnis and husband Leroy of Cuba, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband T.J. Robbins Jr.; one child Monty Jeff Robbins; four brothers G.R. Crisp, Horace Crisp, W.P. Crisp, Hayes Crisp; and one sister Otilee Wallace.
Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
