Mrs. Georgie Lee (Hurt) Hillhouse, 82, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was the youngest daughter of the late George Asbury and Esther (Estes) Hurt.

She was born August 24, 1934 in Summit, Arkansas. She attended public school at Yellville-Summit. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was an ordained Pentecostal minister. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Temple in Ava, MO.

She was united in holy matrimony to Freddie Herman Hillhouse on October 28, 1960. He proceeded her in death on April 19, 1984. This union was blessed with four children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Manda Della Hurt, brother in law and sister in law, Marvin and Jean Hillhouse and brother in law, Gary Honeycutt.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: three sons, Reverend Paul (Janice) Hillhouse, Bill Hillhouse both of Theodosia, MO, Johnny (Rebecca) Hillhouse of Hardenville, MO, one daughter Rhonda Parker of Gideon, MO, one son in law Jay Parker of Kissee Mills, MO; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Park of Vista, CA; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Honeycutt of Wasola, MO; special cousin, Mary Ann Patton of Yellville, AR; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday December 28th with visitation preceding from 1-2 pm at Lutie True Hope General Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Ryan, officiating. Burial will follow at Lutie Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
