GERALD & ALEKSANDRA JEDRZEJAK

Gerald Clifford Jedrzejak, resident of Promise Land, Arkansas, passed away peacefully and into eternal life, at the age of 78, in Gainesville, Missouri on June 6, 2011. His wife, Aleksandra (Nakutis) Jedrzejak, went home to meet him on June 11, 2011 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO also at the age of 78. Gerald was born on November 6, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the parents of Walter and Philomena Jedrzejak. Aleksandra was born on May 7, 1933 in the country of Lithuania, daughter of Felix and Olga Nakutis.

Gerald attended De La Salle High School and then went on to serve in the Korean War. Later he attended Loyola University of Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. He became employed with New York Life Insurance Company as a General Manager, earning the first to complete two certifications in a one year period in New York Life's history. He retired on April 18, 1989.

Aleksandra came to the United States with her family from Lithuania in 1949 at the age of 15. She learned the English language and graduated high school in only 2 years and 5 months. She then went to nursing school in Chicago and became a Registered Nurse. She later worked at Passavant Hospital as a Surgical Nurse. She retired as an RN on June 15, 1990.

On October 7, 1961, Gerald married the love of his life, Aleksandra, at St. Basil Church in Chicago, IL. To this union two children were born, Philomena and Christopher. They have enjoyed their retirement years near Bull Shoals Lake in the Promise Land area. They were just four months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Gerald and Aleksandra are survived by their two children, Philomena Jedrzejak (Lethiot) and Christopher Jedrzejak; three grandchildren Alexsandra Lethiot, Kaitlen Lethiot and Ronald Lethiot Jr.; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Regina Howard, Phylls Frain and husband Ken, Cynthia Demeter and husband Dennis, Lillie Zygmuntowicz, Doris Jedrzejak, Pat Jedrzejak ; and many loving nieces and nephews.

They were preceded in death by their parents; brothers Gene Jedrzejak and wife Wanda, Wally Jedrzejak, Bruno Jedrzejak, and John Nakutis.

No local services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
