GERALD "JERRY" PICKEL

Gerald "Jerry" Pickel, 71, of Theodosia, MO passed away in death on January 5, 2014 at his home that sits right on the lake. He was born June 27, 1942 in Oakland, Maine, the son of Margaret (Spiller) Harlow, nicknamed Peggy, and Kenneth Ketrick Pickel.

On April 4, 1969, Jerry was united in marriage to Rita L. Anchores. To this union three children were born. Jerry was employed through AT&T , he was a telephone technician for over 30 years along with that a Jack of all trades. He loved fishing, keeping up with Fox News, taking gorgeous photos, cooking for his wife and family, along with taking care of his beautiful wife. Though Jerry had a tough exterior, he had a loving heart for those who took time to get to know him. Jerry was a wonderful provider, an amazing friend, a good grandfather, a strong rock, a one of a kind dad, and the best friend his wife could ever have. Jerry was dearly loved by many people and will be greatly missed till his resurrection that was promised to him by Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ.

Jerry is survived by his three children Gerald Daniel Pickel (Jay) of Ava, MO, Coleen Renee Wilderson of Ava, MO, Shawna Lee Hitchcock of Branson, MO, and his loving wife, Rita Lee Pickel of Gainesville, MO; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter, Isabella with one on the wasy who is due on June 14, 2014; one sister and a host of nephews; Raydon, Paul, Jarry and Kitrick (Kit) along with one niece Misty Dawn.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Margaret (Peggy) Harlow and Kenneth Ketrick Pickel.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Gainesville Kingdom hall of Jehovah Witnesses on Hwy 160 West of Gainesville, MO.
