Glada Faye Watkins

Glada Faye Watkins, 81 years, 4 months, and 1 day old, passed to heaven on September 23, 2011 at Integris Baptist Medical in Oklahoma City.
Glada was born May 22, 1930 in Bridgeport, IL to Ray and Lillie (Brumback) Heath.
Glada was employed at Emerson Electric and was a resident of the Ava community for many years.
On Oct. 26, 1946 Glada and Robert Watkins were united in marriage in Bridgeport, IL and to this union three children were born.
In her spare time Glada enjoyed embroidering, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Glada was preceded by her parents, her husband, Robert in 1973, one brother, Leslie Heath and one sister, Lois Crosslow.
Glada is survived by three children and their spouses, Mike & Myrna Watkins, Oklahoma City, OK, Donna & George Dale, Ava, Mo and Terry and Jeannie Watkins, Ava, MO, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild, three nieces, Kim Hathcock & husband James, Kathy Williams & husband Robert and Lynn Parrett and one nephew, Mark Crosslow.
Funeral services for Glada will be Tuesday, September 27, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. James Hathcock. Memorials may be made to Gideon's.
