Glen Houston Lakey

Glen H. Lakey, 77 years, passed away on December 29, 2008 at Ozarks Community Hospital in Springfield, MO. Glen was born June 6, 1931 in Vera Cruz, MO to Charley and Dora (Rippee) Lakey.
Glen was a resident of Strafford for the past seven years. In his youth he liked to work math problems and go to movies with his brother, Shelby. Through the years he had worked various jobs. At one time he worked at a Restaurant. He loved to listen to music and especially country and western music. Glen enjoyed attending church.
Glen was preceded by his parents, Charley and Dora Lakey, four brothers, Claude, Charles Junior, James Wilbur & Shelby and one sister, Doris Marie Young.
Glen is survived by one sister, Cherri Rogers & husband, Joe, Sierra Vista, AZ, several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Glen will be, Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the Ava Cemetery, Ava, MO. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
