GLENDA MAE PERRY

Glenda Mae (Simmons) Perry, 72, of Theodosia, MO passed away on January 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 7, 1944 in Protem, MO.

She graduated from Taylor Center High School in Taylor, Michigan in 1962. She married Auttie Ray Perry on June 3, 1963 in Mt Vernon, Ohio. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved reading, crosswords, Magnolias, cigarettes, coffee and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Auttie Perry in 2007; her parents, Earl and Mima Coulter and Dallas Simmons; two brothers Donald Simmons and Earl Coulter Jr.; and one grandson Chad Perry.

She is survived by one daughter Laura Schmekel and Albert Smith of Buffalo, MO; two sons Tom Perry and wife Tracey of Newport, MI, Allen Perry and wife Robin of Newport, MO; former son-in-law Steve Schmekel of Roseville, MI; Dustin Perry of the home in Theodosia, MO, caregiver and grandson; Craig Miller and Charity of Newport, MI; grandchildren Steven Schmekel and Amie of Theodosia, MO, Kari Perry, Koty Perry and Brittany, Aaron Perry, Emily Schmekel, Amy Perry and Craig Perry; great grandchildren Emiree Perry, Paige and Hunter Perry, Zoe and Steven Allen Schmekel; sisters Vicky Simmons Thompson and Francis (Buzz) of Marshfield, MO, Sue Miller and Denny of Newport, MI, Earlene Gallagher and Ed of Cassville, MO and Phyllis (Kay) Veatch of Eagle Rock, MO; brothers Harold Simmons and Julia of Fruitland Park, Fl, Eldon Simmons of Taylor, MI and James "Monroe" Simmons of Isabella, MO; sisters-in-law Zora Perkins, Mae Perry, Clasie Moore and Irma Perry; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and all the kids who became her and her husband's kids.

A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Stan Collins officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in the Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, January 8th from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
