Glenda Carol Scott, 88 years, 6 months, and 7 days old, passed away on March 19, 2026 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with her family by her side.

Glenda was born September 12, 1937 in Douglas County, Missouri to Enoch Lincoln and Anna Laura (Gunnels) Davis. She grew up in Douglas County and graduated from Ava High School.

On May 18, 1963, Glenda and Guy Scott were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri.

Glenda was a Christian and a member of First General Baptist Church in Ava, Missouri.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning. She liked going to the antique stores and listening to music.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy; son, Steven Fitzgerald; siblings, Dean Davis, Clifton Davis, Eula Campbell, Gola Maxine Guthery Rosseau, and Bill Davis.

Glenda is survived by her children and their spouses, Debbie Fitzgerald, Rebecca and Patrick O’Malley, and Jennifer and Brian Hesterlee; grandchildren, Brian Fitzgerald, William Fitzgerald, Jacob Hesterlee, and many others; several great grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Glenda will be Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM to service time. Burial will be in the Ava cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Roberts. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
